Atlantis Diagnostic Imaging Centers are a vital part of the OMNI Healthcare team. We offer state-of-the-art technology and quality imaging to our patients. With a new management team, we are building a customer friendly center. We understand that diagnostic testing of any kind can be very stressful. Our goal is to provide efficient quality service in a timely fashion so that the patient gets the treatment they need as soon as possible. We offer a full spectrum of Imaging Services including:
Digital Mammography is offered at Atlantis - Melbourne. The GE Senograph® DS full-field digital mammography system has the most modern mammo technology available to patients today. We also use CAD- Computer Aided Detection for our digital mammos. This improves the radiologists ability to accurately classify cluster microcalcifications on serial mammos and reduce Biopsy rates. CAD provides better sensitivity.
Ultrasound - Our Palm Bay /Minton Road Office now has the GE LOGIQ 7. This site offers General Ultrasound studies. For Breast and Cardiovascular Ultrasound our Melbourne office has the new Siemens Sequoias. Melbourne also offers general Ultrasound studies.
Nuclear Medicine is available at both sites. Whole body bone scans, Thyroid scans and Uptakes, and soon to return Myocardial Perfusion Imaging (Nuclear Stress Tests) along with general nuclear medicine studies are offered at our Palm Bay Office. Our Melbourne office does both cardiovascular and general nuclear medicine studies, except Whole Body Bone Scans and Thyroid studies.

CT Scans are offered at both sites. We have two new 16 slice scanners capable of doing CTA (Computed Tomography Angiography) imaging as well as general CT Imaging. CTAs use X-Rays to visualize blood flow in the veins and arteries throughout the body. Compared to catheter angiography, CTAs are much less invasive and more patient-friendly.

PET/CT is offered at our Melbourne office to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of cancer. We have a GE LS 16 slice PET/CT Scanner. PET/CT uses a gamma camera to image a small amount of radioactive material tagged to glucose (sugar) that is injected into a small vein in the patients arm. Certain cancer cells use glucose for energy. The cancer cells will absorb the radioactive sugar and the camera will show a picture. The CT portion shows like a map of the area. The computer fuses the CT and PET images. From this information radiologists can tell if there is cancer in the body and where it is located.

MRI services are now offered at the Melbourne Office on a GE 3 Tesla Magnet. MRI uses a magnet to take pictures of the body in any plane. MRI image contrast is much better in soft tissues than CT, therefore it is very useful in Neurological, Oncological, Cardiovascular and musculoskeletal diseases.
